A BIT MORE About John...

John has been speaking, singing, and writing songs since childhood and has served in full-time ministry since 1986.

As the son and grandson of pastors, John grew up around the local church and developed a deep love for those who lead, serve, and create.

John and his wife, Kristin, planted and pastored a church in Nashville, Tennessee. For more than a decade, they invested in building the church, developing leaders, and cultivating a culture of worship and creativity.

John has been married to his Heartbeat, Dr. Kristin Evans Ragsdale, since 1993. They have two sons, Evan and Davis.

His songs have been recorded by artists and worship leaders, including CeCe Winans, and have contributed to multiple gold-certified albums. More importantly, they've been sung by worshipers around the world. One of those songs, "Thirst For You," appeared on CeCe Winans' gold-certified album Throne Room.

John's creativity has also opened doors beyond the church, including television appearances on the hit series Friday Night Lights and other film and television opportunities.

John has authored multiple resources through Lifeway Christian Resources and continues to create content that encourages people in their faith.

Today John continues to invest in churches, pastors, leaders, and creatives. Whether preaching, singing, mentoring, or coaching, his heart is to bring clarity, encouragement, and hope while pointing people to Jesus through:
